production and engineering.
Our clients range from young, up and coming bands and performers, through
community organisations, to local media. In keeping with our philosophy
of working with and nurturing local talent. We envisage a growing and
increasingly diversified music event, that will span the breadth of cultures
and musical genres
of the region in the years to come.
Recently we recorded, and produced a hot local prospects
Chakra BC. Their CD is now in local
record stores and gaining airplay on local radio SeaFM. We have also
helped
them with promotion and publicity, both through negotiations with local
media and venues, and by providing promotional materials. We are currently
in the process of building and hosting their website, which will provide
news for fans and eventually operate as an avenue for distributing the
bands merchandise.
Another recent project that received extensive coverage, was the release
of a double track CD by a group of school children from Yarrabah, and
recorded at M.E.Ls studio. The main track, One Fire
a song for reconciliation - came out of workshops that saw the
students working alongside high profile musicians such as Coloured Stone
leader Bunna Lawrie, didge maestro David Hudson and musician Mark Wenitong.
The project was conceived by Yarrabah community worker Barry Cedric,
who
saw it as a way to creatively motivate the 40 students who took part.
Both the local Cairns Post and international media covered the event,
interviewing the children and their collaborators.
We
are currently involved in a Passion
for Life connect at Fogarty Park Cairns
on the 11th October 2003 for a Charity Organisation Lifeline. The line
up for the conncert consists of International 70's band Graham
Gouldman's
10cc. A all Australia 70's line up consisting John
Paul Young,
Keith Lamb former
Hush front man, T.M.G, Michael Turner, Keren Minshull and Cairns band Punch.
For this event we have written, produced a signature song for Lifeline.
This CD will be a collectors item that will be given to everone who
purchases a ticket.
Also
as a bonuse on the CD we have remixed the number one hit Dreadlock Holiday
from Graham Gouldman's 10cc with 3 different version Club, Dance and Reggae
