Career Overview
From the late 1970s to today, Mick has been deeply involved in the music
industry. After starting out as a musician, Mick was a pioneer of the
DJ and club scene in Australia back in the early stages of the dance music
revolution. With residencies at clubs such as the Hippodrome and Stringfellows
in London, as well as a string of other top clubs in Europe and Australia,
Mick was regarded in the late 80s, early 90s as one of the world’s
top DJs. His live work was complimented by his studio work with music
production, including recording, (re)mixing, and composition, and the
established of M.E.L Productions in 1990
Mick has expanded M.E.L Productions since relocating this world standard
recording studio from London to Sydney, and then to Cairns North Queensland
Australia 6 years ago. As well as providing recording services, the company
now has a retail arm – Talk to the Mac, an authorised Apple Solutions
Reseller and Service Provider – and is a provider of internet services
– Zoomnet.
Mick’s ICT skills, originally developed over many years in the studio,
have been enhanced further in both his hands-on role as a Certified Apple
Technician, and in providing ICT solutions through Talk to the Mac. This
mix of hands-on knowledge and solutions provision is mirrored and complimented
in his role in the Zoomnet business, where he undertakes both technical
and creative tasks.

Overview
Dave is a veteran in the Australian music scene and still finds time outside
of his work in the studio, to indulge his passion for guitar with his
band Punch. As well as his experience in studio production and live performance,
Dave has also worked as a session musician, and in music retail. As a
result he brings a combination of creative, technical and commercial knowledge
to the studio. Dave has extensive contacts in the music industry and is
able to work across a wide range of musical genres.
Dave is highly regarded not only for his musical talents in playing and
songwriting, but also for his musical judgement and understanding when
working with clients in the studio. Whether providing a high level of
creative input or playing a largely technical role, Dave is able to work
flexibly with you, so that our services are in tune with your needs.
